    My sheltie hated water too!
We took him to the beach with my flatcoats, dad waded out wih him, put him in the water to swim back and he sank!!!!

Just for the record, we have trouble keeping Chelise out of the water…she has been known to splash in whenever someone is in pool.. we call her our resident lifeguard “Pamela”

As of this afternoon, My dear chelsie is no longer with me. She was my most favorite dog ever as she went everywhere with me. She did agility, therapy, worked with many rescue dogs from new England sheltie rescue and granite state sheltie to’help’them settle iin their new environment. What a remarkable dog. I’m lost without her but thankful for the fabulous memories. And thanks to wayfarer sheltie for a fabulous puppy dog.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have two Shelites (2 y.o. & 6 m.o) and they have brought more joy to my life than I could have ever imagined. I hope you cherish the memories with Chelsie and that she is in a better place. The pic of Chelsie on the noodle is awesome…makes me want to rig up something for my Shelties to enjoy the water instead of barking at it.

        Take care,
        Andrew
