Oh my! What a beautiful Bi-Blue! Looks like the normal amount of fur shed though, to me! LOL!
Yeah, they do shed. ;)
But this is the fur I get from the carpet every week or so. When I comb him usually I get less… I have to scrape the carpet since the vac. cleaner doesn’t do much about fur. :(
Thanks for the compliment on Dallas, Ellen Leigh. :)
YEP..THIS IS JUST ABOUT RIGHT…I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT ABOUT OBTAINING A SPINNING WHEEL, AND RECIRCULATE MY LADY’S FUR…JUST THINK OF ALL THE LOVELY SCARFS AND SWEATERS I COULD KNIT!!
DALLAS IS SUCH A BEAUT TOO..LOVE HIS SHELTIE EXPRESSION..
LOL, Sue- Do a search on ‘Chiengora’ I think it is- some people do spin their dog’s fur into yarn! And I did find on ETSY, one artist who made felted jewelry from her sheltie’s fur- nifty!
Go to http://www.ETSY.Com and do a search on ‘Sheltie’ and you will find it.
I will say I always thought Shetlie’s shed a lot, and then I got a Golden Retriver and I have to say they are WAY worse! For my sheltie well most of his fur stays on him in tuffs and I can comb them out. So he only really “sheds” twice a year. My golden sheds all year long and it comes out if she even brushes against you, loads of it!
I HAVE READ THAT IF A SHELTIE IS BRUSHED DAILY THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH SHEDDING….IS THAT TRUE?
