    Eye color in dogs is just like eye color in humans. Blue eyes are perfectly natural & quite beautiful.
    That person might be confusing the eye color with a problem when breeding merle to merle, called the double dilute.

  2. We are considering purchasing a 10-week bi-blue male puppy with two light blue eyes. They are absolutely beautiful, but someone mentioned that there might be vision health concerns with shelties that have non-standard colored eyes. The mother is merle and father is bi-black. Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Although you can’t see it in this pic Dustee’s right eye is blue.

  4. I know I can’t- Dustee looks an awful lot like my Bea- she has the same eyes and big white blaze on her adorable widdle face.
