Kacee is not the only Sheltie who is into kayaking. This is my son Chris and our Sheltie Shilo on the Shubi Canal in Dartmouth, N.S. (We are looking for a lifejacket for her for this summer, though she swims well.)
Glad you will have a life jacket for her too, Dave! :)
Kacee and Chris look like naturals together on the water. We take our 4 shelties in our paddle boat and they love it.
You can get a great dog life jacket at LLBean.com
Summers comming!

Also I had to Google “N.S” to see what that was. I’m a hockey fan, so I’m not entireley ignorant of Canadian geography, but I confess that I forget about the eastern provinces.
Living in SoCal, we don’t have so many nice lakes and protected waterways to kayak in. And I’m frankly afraid to take my fuzzybutt Sheltie sea kayaking. It’s too rough out there.

That’s one reason why I wanted a Sheltie – they can fit in a kayak!
They scare away birds, though, with the barking.

Hey, I am in NS too!
We should meet up with more Shelties! Mine has NO interest in the water, other than WAVE HERDING at the beach!
