Sheltie Nation

Unbelievable amounts of PURE Sheltie torture!

You’ve got to have games at a birthday party, right?

Although Baron looks like he might be thinking: “I wouldn’t call the ‘Leave It game” really a game at all!

Left to right:  Rookie, Spring & Baron

I’m sure he forgot all about it once you said “OK!” right Terri? ;)

  1. Hold it, hold it, ok go!!!!!!! I would’ve loved to see their faces digging in too, awesome pic.

  2. ANTICIPATION AT ITS BEST !!!!……………….. BARON IS SIZING UP THE COMPETITION, ROOKIE HAS EATEN THAT CUPCAKE IN HIS MIND AT LEAST THREE TIMES ALREADY ( NO ONE WILL GET THAT CUPCAKE BUT ROOKIE !!! ) AND SPRING IS THINKING ” SHOULD I OR SHOULDN’T I ? “. I’M WAITING FOR ROOKIE TO USE MENTAL TELEPATHY TO GET THAT CUPCAKE TO HIS MOUTH – I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH INTENSITY ON A SHELTIE’S FACE LIKE THIS EVER BEFORE. CAN I HAVE THEM ? THE SHELTIES, NOT THE CUPCAKES ! 3 AMAZING DOGS !

  3. Toneth…how sweet that you still remember Rookie in his coming home picture! He’s turned out to be quite the character, a unique little guy that’s fearless, loves everyone without hesitation, and not sound sensitive/reactive like our other shelties have been both past and present. All three came from the same breeder. Rookie and Spring are actually some sort of cousins ;-).

Kate…I’m working on that recipe. My daughter made them. I know she used oatmeal, eggs, applesauce, and I’m not sure what else yet ;-).. The frosting is fat free cream cheese.

  4. This is too funny. I love seeing pictures of Rookie and Baron…and now Spring! I still remember Rookie’s coming home picture with is duckie.

  5. Baron does look like he is trying to figure out how to get the other two before his, after all shelties are SMART!! They have an uncanny way of figuring things out with their problem solving skills :-)

  6. mmmmmm they look too good to resist!

  7. I’m curious to know what you bake into a pup-cake and what you use for frosting. Is it meaty with mashed potatoes? :-) I’m a complete freak about feeding only the healthiest food to our three shelties, but think it would be fun to give them a special treat from time to time. I just wonder how to fit that into our raw/organic/gluten-free canine diet at our house. (Yes, I’m a freak. But I’ve lost shelties when they were too young so I’m doing everything I can to keep these three healthy.)

  8. I look forward to these morning emails. It’s as though they verify that my three shelties are indeed as cute and ridiculous as I thought they were the day before and it WASN’T my immagination. Good to know I’m in good company.

  9. Beautiful, sweet shelties!

  10. These dogs are fantastic! I’ve seen all these expressions on my Shadow, especially the one on Spring and Rookie’s faces. Shadow watches his ball the same way, willing it to magically roll to him from an inert state. Baron’s too funny; I’m sure he’s hoping the others will succumb so he can go for it! Gosh, I love Shelties … every one of them. And this website makes my morning every day!

  11. Baron is totally eyeing up his competition…. He looks like he wants them all. Rookie appears to be very focused on his cupcake, no way is Baron going to get that one. Very cute!

  12. Thanks everyone! lol…I think Baron was trying to decide if he could manage to get all THREE of the pupcakes for himself! Rookie looks like he was trying to use mental telepathy..”cooome to me, .. Cooome to meeee…,” while Spring is thinking..”this is just dumb!” haha… I have MORE fun with these “kids.”

  13. Awesome!

  14. Okay, these can’t be REAL shelties! My guys would have gobbled up those cupcakes before I even placed them on the ground!

  15. Baron’s expression is priceless. . .kind of like a kid. . .”let me see what they are doing before I act:)”
Beautiful pups! Makes me want to own them all!

  16. That is such a cute photo!!! I doubt my guys think the Leave It game is much of a game either but they sure like the rewards at the end.

  17. Baron’s on a diet maybe? I love these photos, and the quips written with them!
