Some of the members and friends of Northern California Sheltie rescue got together for a Sheltie Romp on the 4th of July. These are just some of the 39 four-legged attendees… The little tri-color right in the middle is 14 year old Sunny – rescued from a ‘backyard breeder’ at the age of five.

This is the stuff dreams are made of; a multiplicity of gorgeous Sheltie faces all looking at you at once. Almost makes me swoon …! Happy that Sunny has a loving home.
How awesome! Wish we could of attended……….you see I am also rescued. I was nine when my new mommy and daddy got me. Sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

So cute. we just moved to South Carolina from Ontario (far north) and the temperature change is a huge adjustment for my sheltie. What does everyone do with their shelties during all this heat?
we play inside games!
We have an “inside” ball, a soft, crocheted orb, which is different than Shadow’s “outside” ball (he is ball obsessed).
On really hot days he is satisfied to around in a cool corner of the house or yard. But we’re in Colorado, where “hot” is defined differently than in SC. Your Sheltie will let you know when it’s too much.

I AM IN AWE OF ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL, ANGELIC SHELTIE FACES. LIKE LUM, IT MAKES ONE SWOON ! THIS IS SIMPLY HEAVEN TO SEE ALL OF THESE MAGNIFICENT SHELTIES GATHERED IN ONE PLACE AND FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL CAUSE/CELEBRATION. AND I REJOICE IN SUNNY AND OTHERS HAVING BEEN RESCUED BY WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND WHO HAVE GIVEN THEM A BEAUTIFUL LIFE – GOD BLESS THEM. ONE OF THE BEST PICTURES EVER !!

I like the sturdy Sheltie back side in the upper right-hand corner. It looks so different from the pointy end of the moochy faces, it took me a second to figure out what it was.
