MD Sheltie Rescue: Awesome Seniors!

The Northern Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue (located north of Baltimore, MD) has three older Shelties that are in need of good homes. Unfortunately the rescue reports they have a lot of wonderful dogs looking for homes and they are running out of foster parents. If you can’t adopt, consider donating or becoming a foster parent. Spread the word to your facebook friends and family!

Dwight: Dwight is a gorgeous, healthy 12 year old sable boy with personality plus! He has been fully vetted and groomed. Dwight loves everybody, gets along well with the other Shelties and is fine around cats and older children. He is housebroken, loves belly rubs, AND walks well on a leash.

Beauty: Beauty is appropriately named, inside and out. She is an adorable 10 year old tri-color gal. Beauty is happy, friendly and healthy, although a little chubby, but they’re working on it! She walks well on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. Beauty is anxious to go to her new forever home.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is a larger 50-lb male 8-year old trio-color Sheltie. He is very sweet and affectionate, loves belly rubs, being petted and attention! He walks well on a leash, gets along with other dogs, and loves to zip around in the yard. Cinnamon knows his name and comes when called.  He needs a fenced yard to run in and a family that is looking for a good, solid boy to be a companion. He’s ready for his new home!

Cindy Lou is a Sheltie mix with possibly Cocker Spaniel as the secondary breed. She is about 8 years old, is super sweet, gets along with everyone, loves playing with other dogs and is especially playful and gentle with puppies and small dogs. She is completely housebroken, crate trained and listens well. Please open your heart and home to this beautiful girl.
