St. Louis Sheltie Rescue: Gus

gussitGus is a lovable, 10-year-old tricolor male who came to rescue from a private home. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped and had a dental. Gus knows a couple of tricks like sit, paw and down. He walks well on a leash and has been trying to herd his foster sister in the backyard.

Gus crates well although he has the run of the house whenever his foster mom is gussleepinghome. He loves to be petted and have his belly rubbed—when you stop, he paws your hand or leg to get you to keep petting. He would do well in a home with at least one other dog.

Whether he is posing in the backyard or relaxing in his crate, Gus is always ready for some hands on loving. :)

  1. If he was any where close to me he would be apart of my family

  2. I know this handsome boy, and he is a treasure. Pure love and adoration for any human who pets him. He deserves a forever family. Until then, he is in excellent care with his foster mom ( who happens to be my mom ).

  3. What a beautiful, sweet boy! He’s got a lot of great years ahead. Someone would be so lucky to adopt him!

  4. It better be a one hell of a story to leave this beautiful animal at a shelter. If you can no longer keep a pet, find someone that can, there is no excuse in my eyes for such crap as this!

  5. I’m sure there’s a ‘story” behind this, but I just don’t understand how a family can give up a family member like this. Hoping he finds his forever home soon.

  6. What a beauty Gus is, someone is going to be very lucky when Gus approves you and allows you to move him into his forever home. Good luck sweet boy, I hope you don’t stay “single” very long.
