My Sweet Babbs

Babbs was definitely top dog in this family. She came to us very shy at first and learned to work us all so well, including her sheltie sister, Holly. Smartest little sheltie there could ever be, … you learned to play volleyball, giving me a challenge often, frisbee, and any game you were taught. Sheltie fun sounds were always heard in the house when you and Holly would play. You had a spirit that never quite my Babbs and we miss you so very, very much. We knew it was time and you had leave us, but our broken hearts are having a hard time to mend. I play with Holly a lot so she can work through her loss also. I know you would have wanted me to do that. Miss You So Much My Love, Mom.

  1. Jane Bernier says:

Thanks again Bobby. We have just added a new sheltie puppy to our family. Her name is Bella and she is 5 mo. old. We are still mourning Babbs passing but felt it would be good for the family to add another puppy, especially for Holly. She is full of life and beautiful. Holly is still very reluctant, which makes me nervous in some ways, but I have to give it time. I too have all kinds of emotions I’m deaiing with. My husband has been a big help with the new puppy and all of us. We are back to a 2 sheltie family.

  2. Jane Bernier says:

Thank you Bobby. So appreciate your kind words and thoughts. Still struggling with emotions but we are now considering a new puppy for the family. Holly could certainly use a playmate and we also would love to have two again. I will never ever forget my Babbs and thank her for all the wonderful years and the love she gave us. She made us sheltie lovers!!

  3. Donna says:

What a beautiful girl! Thank you Babbs, for bringing so much joy and love to your two-legged and four-legged family. Gratitude overcomes pain, always.

    • Jane Bernier says:

Thank you for your kind sentiments. We are all mourning the loss of our Babbs and will for years to come I’m sure. We loved her so much and she eppitomized the personality of the sheltie breed which we love so much. She will be remembered forever. We have just added a new sheltie puppy to our family named Bella. Bella is 5 mo. old and is very sweet. Holly is doing a lot of hiding, which makes me feel bad, but she’s coming out more and more. She had been quite depressed and is still showing those signs since the loss of Babbs, as I have. Bella is full of life and we need that. Thanks you again.

      • Donna says:

Of course, we are here to help each other through. “Grief is love with nowhere to go.” Please post Bella pictures when you’re ready! <3 <3 <3

  4. Bobby says:

I’m so sorry for your loss, Babbs was gorgeous. I know you will keep her spirit alive by loving Holly.
You will meet Babbs at the Rainbow Bridge someday and never again be separated.
I am so sorry for your loss but remember we are here for each other and I send you my best wishes.
