Let’s Celebrate Joey!

Last weekend Joey celebrated three events:
1. The first weekend of Autumn
2. His 17th Birthday (He was rescued when he was 2.5 years old from Sheltie Haven Sheltie Rescue!)
3. The Annual Northern Virginia Sheltie Rescue (NVSR) Picnic at Curtis Memorial Park, Hartwood Virginia

Mary Mounts, a photographer with NVSR, captured this picture of Joey enjoying himself at the Autumn backdrop.
How WONDERFUL, Mary K. and hugs to you for adopting him!

How Shelties beat the heat!

Joey knows hose water is much better than bowl water!

What a good mom you are Kathie!

It’s warm & green somewhere in the world!

Joey is a handsome fellow Kathie!

Got your back bro!

Joey likes to hide under Bailey.  (This is pretty typical of the two of them.)

Patty, Acadia National Park looks awesome!

Time to celebrate!

Three of these Shelties are from Rescue, One is Joey (remember his story? aka Joey the Pirate), one is arrow and the other Snowy, all rescued.  We had a 4th of July party not just for us humans but for Shelties too!

Left to right: Joey, Frosty, Haley, Storm, Summer, Tobie, Arrow, and Snowy in the front!

Nice job getting them to pose Heidi!
