Last weekend Joey celebrated three events:
1. The first weekend of Autumn
2. His 17th Birthday (He was rescued when he was 2.5 years old from Sheltie Haven Sheltie Rescue!)
3. The Annual Northern Virginia Sheltie Rescue (NVSR) Picnic at Curtis Memorial Park, Hartwood Virginia

Mary Mounts, a photographer with NVSR, captured this picture of Joey enjoying himself at the Autumn backdrop.
How WONDERFUL, Mary K. and hugs to you for adopting him!

Jojo says: ‘Ketchup or mustard? Yep, I’ll take both thank you!’

I’m coming back for seconds, Dawn!

Some of the members and friends of Northern California Sheltie rescue got together for a Sheltie Romp on the 4th of July.  These are just some of the 39 four-legged attendees…  The little tri-color right in the middle is 14 year old Sunny – rescued from a ‘backyard breeder’ at the age of five.

Such intensity Rick!  LOL

WI Sheltie Rescue invites all the Adopters and Adoptees back for a reunion every year in the county park in Chilton, WI.   That is over 130 Shelties returning with their owners!  There is a huge picnic lunch followed by fund raiser events:  rummage sale, silent auction, sale of t-shirts, sweat shirts, dog beds made by Lisa Martin, founder of the rescue.

Hugs to each & every one of you for adopting!  :0))

In September 2007  NJ Sheltie Rescue took in 11 adult Shelties from a Lancaster Puppy Mill.  Thankfully, most have been adopted :) The group had their annual picnic on September 28th and seven were able to attend.Group
