Today (again) we launch the new Sheltie Nation design!   Please take a few minutes to check out the new format & let me know what you think.

There will be a few tweaks & adjustments here & there, but all the big changes are complete.  I owe the E. Webscapes team a big round of applause in their help in making this a reality.

I started this project earlier this year & before Trevor passed away.  Afterward,  I wasn’t so sure I would continue with the site let alone finish the redesign.  But one of the best things about Trevor was that he took great pleasure in making people happy.  If you were happy, he was happy.  I hope this site brings you much happiness!

I love you Trevor.  I miss you & wish you were here to celeberate with me.  May your nurturing spirt live on.

I am so very glad you decided to continue the site! I lost my Sweet Duncan Hines just over a week ago now. But Winning Duncan Over is going to continue too and I am going to start fostering Shelties instead of adopting a new one. So I will continue sharing rehabilitation stories on the site. That’s Duncan’s Legacy, and the best way I can think of to honor him.

I love the header on the site- it just warms my heart seeing that cheerful greeting. Like many others have posted here, I too start my day with Sheltie Nation and recommend it to every sheltie owner I meet. Thank you so much for creating a place that we can celebrate the unique beauty and faithfulness of this breed and interact with others who feel the same way.

Zhivago(my sheltie) and I thank you for this website! It gives me a laugh to start the day.

This site is so wonderful! I found you just after I lost my sweet 14 1/2 year old Kozy, a beautiful blue merle, on 2 June. My husband realized that we had become “sheltie people” and nothing else could ease my heartache except jumping right back in. I am now the proud parent of a ten week old tri, a little girl we’ve named Sailor. You never replace the ones you lose, but nothing like another Sheltie to help fill the hole.

Since I currently don’t have a Sheltie, this website is extra special to me because I get my daily dose of Sheltie :) … Once I’m done with college, I plan on getting a Sheltie (or 2 or 3)!!!

I’m new to Sheltie Nation, but fell in love from the moment I found I found the website. I too open it each morning to start my day. My oldest Sheltie is 13 1/2 and has just been diagnosed with cancer. He will be the second I’ve lost to this dreadful disease. He is the reason I am involved with Sheltie rescue, pet therapy and pet sitting. Believe me, I too am dealing with a broken heart. I am so glad you have decided to continue with the site. It gives me great joy.

I just wanted you to know how much SheltieNation brightens my day. It’s a piece of email that I absolutely look forward to getting…one of the first I check for in my inbox. Thank you for all the ahhhs and ooohs and smiles I get from everything you do.

Now I want to run into Sheltie owners so I can point them here!

  10. Stacey

Thank you for the wonderful site and continuing on after such a great loss. I love to come on and tell others about this site.

I love the look of the new site and I am very glad you decided to keep it up and running. Sheltie Nation is my first stop in the morning. Trevor will always be with you in the best place that he can be, your heart.

    Hi Kelly,

The site is great! I start the day with it. Thank you! I lost the best Sheltie I ever had last year. Only 7. I blame the dog food she had. It took a year but I could not live without a Sheltie! My new one, Willow, is beautiful! I love her more every day. It is a tribute to Shiloh that Willow is now in my life. I understand your pain. When you are ready, please wrap yourself around a Sheltie. It helps!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for continuing the site and for all the wonderful new improvements. I think you can see that it means a lot to all of us here at Sheltie Nation to still be able to call ourselves members of Shelite Nation. Thanks to Trevor for being your soul dog and continuing to live on in the joy that you bring to all other sheltie owners.

Thank you Kelly for allowing us to comfort you in your time of such great loss ! Trevor is smiling down upon you with the results of the great job on the forums and Sheltie Nation !! I know the great grief you are feeling when you lose your best friend. God Bless and continue to comfort you it will get better a little at a time. It’s been 2 1/2 years since I lost my Jewel and I still find myself crying and missing her. That’s when I go into the privacy of my room and hold her urn and talk to her. Some people tell me enough already but she was everything to me. As I know Trevor was to you.

    Sheltie hugs,

Jack and I thank you so much for continuing! Trevor is smiling down on you!

  17. Irene (Toffee's Mom)

Thanks for continuing with the site, it is such a pleasure and privilege to be a member and have a place where others are as crazy about their Shelties as I am :) I have learned so much from the forums especially and I LOVE the integrated site, so I end up checking here more than before.
I am sure Trevor would approve as well!

Also did you have Christmas cards of Trevor on cafepress where he is ‘tangled’ in the lights?? This photo looks just like the dog on those cards I loved to send off to friends and family!

The site looks great. love the Sheltie drawings! I have clicked on several of the links and they have all worked. Beautiful photo of Tevor :-).
Kudos for all your hard work!

  19. Erica

Are you going to go back to the regular daily email format? I like that better than the weekly one we’ve been getting. The pics don’t all show up in that weekly email too. Besides that, the site looks great!

  20. Terry

Trevor was your inspiration in life to create this site and in his death for you to continue shows the love and inspiration you both had for each other. Trevor lives on in you, in us and in this site.

  21. Gloria

Great new format. Love this site! My shelties and I begin our day with Sheltie Nation. I need it as much as my morning cup of coffee! Thanks to you and Trevor for sharing Sheltie Nation with us!

  22. Dana

I am so glad you decided to continue with the site! The price we pay for loving our dogs the way we do is very high but I can’t imagine not loving them or not having them…..I check your site every morning and it starts my day off with a smile…so thank you!

  23. Robby

Hi Kelly! Oh, I love the Sheltie drawings! Is anyone else getting little broken links for all images other than today’s photo of Trevor?
