Everybody loves a Blizzard!

On the ride home from a camping trip in the mountains we stopped at the Dairy Queen in Montrose, CO for a Blizzard.  Shadow got to lick the empty cup (no chocolate).
He observed that the new “mini” size fits his muzzle perfectly — no need to secure it with paws — it stays put tightly enough that you can work your tongue all around and thoroughly clean it without it slipping off! He thought other Shelties would want to know about this.
The only negative is the smear of ice cream on the snout. But Mom got that with a wet paper towel.

Fun, fun, Lum!

Beautiful & clever boy. Benny & Oscar like to lick the yogurt cup as well and say “thanls” to Shadow for the great tip about Blizzards!

Here in Virginia (at least in Roanoke), Dairy Queen offers “pup cups”. My little Molly (2 year old wild sheltie) and visit Dairy Queen once in a while after going to the dog park. I will get my blizzard and she will enjoy her little and free pup cup! In her mind it’s the cherry to top her day!
Those cute adorable shelties they steal our hearts, don’t they…

Do NOT tell my 2 about this! They already have a sense of entitlement for rotisserie chicken, the last thing I want is for them to think that ice cream could be a possibility.

PS his paws look like the paws in the sheltie grooming post, all nice and trimmed. Something for me to work towards!

Oh, thanks Jo! If only I could learn to do his EARS …

When my late Sheltie Sunny was a puppy, I gave her a toilet-paper roll to play with and she got it stuck on her muzzle.

Even funnier, when I was a kid, my dad gave our basset hound, Butterscotch, one of those round oatmeal boxes to play with. Butterscotch got his entire head jammed in the box and he was lurching around the backyard, bumping into trees.

      That’s sad..

I’m laughing at the picture of these antics in my head, especially the oatmeal box episode! Aren’t our dogs FUN?

Am having a bit of a chuckle imagining him running atound with the oatmeal box stuck on his head..ahah We live on the water and have a herd of geese. All we do is open the door and tell Kelly the Geese are here.. and she is down on the beach in a flashand up to her chest in water, just defying them to come put a foot on our territory..Our neighbour across the way always runs out with his broom to chase them off..Quite a comical scene between the two of us I might say! ahah..I will have to try and get a photo of that.

Oh! I wonder if Shadow could “work” the employees? Next time we’ll try that!

Oh I bet he could. He’s pretty handsome. Have him look at the girls (Usually only works on the girls) with those gorgeous brown eyes then a tilt of the head to one side or the other ;-).

My Scarlett loves to do the same thing with yogurt containers–she loves her “lickies!”

Yep, yogurt and Haagen-Dazs are equally as appealing …
