Macy is strapped in her carseat and ready to go!
Macy is a 6 year old girl who was adopted last fall from Sheltie Rescue of New England. :)

Hugs for adopting, Helene!

Kelly, could you please give me the brand names of the car seat and halter. I’m having a hard time finding a car seat and halter that fits Shelties. Thanks

Macy is indeed adorable, but she would be even more adorable if she was strapped in her car seat in the back seat of the car. Airbags can do damage, the reason baby seats are relegated to the back seat. Shelties rule!

Macy is the third sheltie I have owned in the past 28 years. My last one, Scarlett, passed in June 2018 at age 14 1/2 from bladder cancer. She was a TDI Certified Therapy Dog & visited nursing homes & assisted livings twice weekly. She was a terrible loss. My first 2 shelties were pups; Macy is our first rescue who literally fell into our lap last fall when Scarlett’s breeder reached out to us to let us know about her entering New England Sheltie Rescue. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Aw Macy, you look like such a sweet princess–and you deserve it! And thank you so much, Helene, for adopting this sweet girl.

Thank you for your concern. Macy is safe in the front seat. My passenger side airbag is not activated when the weight on the seat is under 100 pounds. There is even a sensor that shows it is turned off.

Macy is indeed a sweetie! She’s my third sheltie in the past 28 years & my first rescue. She is a retired show dog who is living the dream aboard our 53′ live-aboard boat, currently in FL & headed to our future home of St. John, USVI. She has adjusted to boat life amazingly well, & she especially loves to ride along in our rib.

    What a love Macy is!
Sweetest of expression and I bet she shows that grateful love and gratefulness that only a rescue can.

Thanks for opening your heart and home Helene!
