This sweet broken rescued girl only has 8 remaining teeth. Her first 10 years of life were unkind. After a very long fostering engagement, she was adopted. Sydney was returned to me shortly after because she was too damaged for the new family to understand. I love her with all my heart. She is safe, pampered and will never again worry about anything.

Sydney is from Second Chance Sheltie Rescue in St. Louis. Hugs to you Christine for all you do for her!

Christine, you’re a hero, you know.
My first Sheltie was taken from a backyard breeder who debarked all the dogs and left them unsocialized. It took Daisy a year to trust me enough to come out from her safe place on her own.

To trust and never give up, to believe- that’s something very special that you did for Sydney.
And for Sydney, she really did find her hero. What a huge heart you have, Christine!

So sad but a happy ending. Kudos for taking Sydney in permanently and allowing her a safe and loving rest of her life.

Broken dogs are so heartbreaking. But I’m glad her broken pieces fit perfectly into your heart and she can live out the rest of her life in love. Thank you for bringing a loving tear to my eye this morning.

This so breaks and encourages my heart. No Sheltie (or dog) deserves to live the majority of their days in less than kind living.
Anyone who understands the breed knows this. Thank you for loving her through it all.
    Blessings.
