Beignet

Beignet was the gentlest soul. Never so much as growled at someone. She always made us pay the cheese tax. She didn’t like to be cuddled or picked up, but she always let it happen anyway, she knew the treats would flow if she snuggled up. I trained her to be a Canine Good Citizen and work as a therapy dog. I didn’t enjoy licks, so we trained her to get kisses by touching her nose to ours and she was never shy with these nose boop kisses. She loved to chase me all over the yard, but a stroke at 10 slowed her down to where her mobility was limited. She always ran in her dreams at night after that, which included banging the wall with her paws and waking us up. What I wouldn’t give for that alarm clock again. She gave us two more years before cancer took her. There won’t be a day where your family isn’t missing you, B. We hope to give you big hugs and kisses when we see you again.
