Penny
Sweetest Sheltie Angel Ever

Sweet Penny was pulled as a rescue from a no-kill shelter in 2017 at 13 years in absolutely shocking condition — thin, bony, no coat, recovering from giardia, but her darling spirit showed through it all. She was microchipped, so we knew her name and birthdate. The shelter said her owner had died, but we knew nothing else about her. She ate well and recovered and was soon doing zoomies with my 8-year-old Sheltie, Grace the Adventure Sheltie.
We decided to keep her ourselves, and for the next 2 1/2 years she traveled with us in our RV and had some of her own adventures. She loved to meet people in campgrounds the best.
It was a sad day when everything started failing and her time finally came. I had hoped to have a Sweet 16 party for her, but it was not to be. At the end, I whispered to her that she would soon see the person she had loved for 13 years as she crossed the Bridge. I hope she did.

I am so glad she found her way into your care and her last years were filled with love, companionship and adventures.
Such a beautiful baby! I know how much joy she brought you. I miss my two so much.
Shelties are wonderful dogs and family members.
I hope your fondest memories, bring you peace.
RIP sweet Penny. I hoped you found your beloved person.
What a blessing you were to her and she to you.
She was beautiful! We rescued an 11-year-old Sheltie boy and he is 14 now. What a joy this beautiful, elderly dogs give us!

Everyday with a sheltie is a better day, all but the last day :( RIP sweet Penny
So true. I just lost another, my precious heart dog.
This made me cry….what a sweet girl. I am so happy that she was able to spend her last remaining days being loved and cared for.
Me too… especially the last words whispered in her ear. Bless you, for rescuing her.
She was such a treasure.
