Sweet Pea

My Peanut

06/25/1999 -

11/15/2014

Its been nearly a year since your passing but it still hurts. We miss you so much every single day.

Sweet Pea (“Peanut”) came into our lives in January of 2001. She was a rescue dog who had had two previous homes through no fault of her own. We kept her name as it suited her.

She and I joined an agility group and she excelled at it. She was so smart. It was time just she and I could spend together which was important.

She loved the snow and she and would romp in it. She also loved to hear me sing “Girls Girls Girls” or “Beautiful Girls”. Obviously she was tone deaf, but then, dogs never judge.

She was the best behaved dog I ever owned, though we had nothing to do with it. She never destroyed anything and except for some barking now and again she was always perfectly behaved. She always held herself as the diva she was and deservedly so.

We lived in Grand Cayman for a time and she came along. It was an odyssey to get her there but worth it. She loved 7 Mile Beach and we would take long walks unleashed. She had a knack for getting into everyone’s wedding photos but no one ever seemed to mind. She liked to walk past the Hilton and head toward the band playing on the beach. Never the food, just the band. We still don’t know why, maybe she fancied herself a groupie.

A piece of my heart is now missing. She was my princess, my girlfriend, my beautiful girl, my perfect dog, my Peanut. We will always love you and will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge

What an absolute beauty sweet pea was. I just love the soulful expression in her eyes.
I just adore the face of seniors. Tri’s are just stunning.

I know our hearts are shattered when they depart from our lives.

We were blessed to have them with us on this earth!

Thank you for rescuing her… I know she felt she rescued you too…

Until you meet again… Virtual Hugs.
