Tank, a gentle warrior, was a master consoler, a true angelic presence. He came to me in Oregon at the age of two from Kentucky and saved me at a very difficult time in my life. He was always a blessing and joy. He had many people friends who remarked how comforting he was and he was welcomed in all social circles for this reason. He soldiered through some pretty difficult health issues and always remained trusting. He loved his nature walks and his frisbee and treats. I will always feel so blessed by his coming into my life. I love you forever, dear Tank, you earned your wings.

I have lost 4 Shelties and 2 part Shelties in my life.. the loss is hard. Each one was special in their own way. Pip made it to 16 years old, was blind, deaf and weak in the rear but he soldiered on as well. I still remember if he couldn’t make it up the stairs, he would go limp and slide down with a look that seemed to say “oh well” and he would try again.
Thank you, Pam, I appreciate your acknowledgment of my Tank. Each of your Shelties has been helpful to you on your journey, and you to their journey. You are so blessed, to be surrounded by so many Sheltie Angels.
