Toonie
The Littlest Warrior

Toonie came to me through Colorado Sheltie Rescue and Peggy Fulton.
He was very reclusive his entire life, preferring the security of sleeping under my bed. (Luckily I have elevated my bed due to reflux==which gave Toonie more room!
Toonie didn’t have a mean bone in his body—-well, maybe one. Before I got the Corgi you see in the pic Toonie had a runty Corgi named Joey for a sidekick. Joey had lots of health issues and one day another (very friendly) dog poked his nose through the picket fence and Toonie nearly removed the entire nose OMG…I am sure he saw himself as Joey’s protector.
Wish we had more room here so I could show you Joey and Toonie “DANCING” up at my cabin…both reared up on hind legs and dancing around touching paws….it’s a great memory.
