Puppy mill rescue reunion

In September 2007  NJ Sheltie Rescue took in 11 adult Shelties from a Lancaster Puppy Mill.  Thankfully, most have been adopted :) The group had their annual picnic on September 28th and seven were able to attend. You can check out their full story at: http://www.njsheltiefostermoms.com/ Thanks for all you do for Shelties Linda!

Did you really think you were going on vacation without me?

This is a picture of one of my Shelties, Willow. She was rescued from a puppy mill.  Her right front leg was badly broken and never treated. When she was brought into Second Chance Sheltie Rescue, the leg had to be amputated. She gets along just fine, and now has a wonderful life.  I was getting ready for a trip and turned around and here she was sitting in my suitcase. Hugs to you Rose for adopting her!

Remember last Thanksgiving's picture on Sheltie Nation? It was of Lady, the puppy mill Sheltie and her puppies. Here is a picture of Lady smiling at her new home. Her owner Ann says that mother hood is the farthest place from her mind. Ann renamed her Lady Bug. She's one happy girl and Ann loves her to pieces! Thank you Ann for adopting her & thank you Holly for fostering her during her most desperate time of need.

Chuck & Holly are a big part of Sheltie Rescue of Maine.  They have a great mutual love for the breed and each others work. Chuck:I agree, Holly is a Sheltie Saint! And I'm not just saying that because she's my wife. She has a special place in her heart for all animals but this breed has just taken her breath away. She has done incredible work rescuing Shelties and finding just the right home for each and every one of them for the past 4+ years. She has touched the hearts of over 50 Shelties and they hers since she became involved [...]
