NJ Sheltie Rescue: Puppies!
Duke & Daniel had a rough start in life and are still looking for their forever homes. Both these boys were rescued from a puppy mill. Unfortunately no foster homes are available, so they are staying at a local kennel. Both these boys are up to date on shots and neutered. Duke (on the right) is very sweet but is shy. He does need a home that is willing to work with him. Daniel (below) is happy, playfulm but also a little shy. Oh, but he loves to give kisses!!! Benji: NJ Sheltie Rescue
This little cutie pie is Benji! Currently 6 months old, 10.2 lbs and perhaps 11-1/2" at the shoulder, he's going to stay on the small side when mature. Apparently he's quite the little character! His foster mom reports that he loves to be snuggled and will stand on his hind feet with his paws on your leg asking to be picked up & held! OMG, every Sheltie lover's dream dog! Puppy mill rescue reunion
In September 2007 NJ Sheltie Rescue took in 11 adult Shelties from a Lancaster Puppy Mill. Thankfully, most have been adopted :) The group had their annual picnic on September 28th and seven were able to attend. Kamal: NJ Sheltie Rescue
OK Sheltie Nation...rally round! There is a super sweet Sheltie in need of a forever home. Kamal (pronounced Ka-Maal...which evidently means 'Perfection'.) is a 6 yr. old, tri-color Sheltie. He stands about 18" at the shoulder & weighs about 40 pounds. Kamal is good with children, other pets, is up-to-date on shots & dental work. Although sadly, an extensive vet exam has shown that Kamal didn't receive very good care for the majority of his life.
